Community Funding

In August 2021, Llanfair Waterdine Community Trust applied for funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to enhance the Community Pavilion.

Funding was to enable safety railing to be put up around the edge of the patio and for an outdoor storage shed to be built.

​

We are so pleased to have been granted an award of £10,000, fully funding the project, by Community Fund.

​

The outdoor storage shed has given us additional room to store toys, outdoor play equipment, cleaning materials and extra furniture for hirers. It has also been joined to the main pavilion with outdoor lighting to make it easily accessible even in wet weather.

The high quality railing and gates that have been installed around the edge of the patio area have made the outdoor space much safer for children, preventing them from running off the edge of the patio or down the steps. It has also given a definite area for our premisies license which the pavilion holds.

In late 2022, The pavilion management committee obtained a £10,000 grant to install a playpark & fence area to add to the pavilion facilities.
