The Community Pavilion

The Community Trust is delighted to be able to offer the Pavilion for the use and benefit of groups and individuals within our community.
This unique Building has been constructed largely using local voluntary labour and with a grant for materials from” Leader “European funding. Other funds have come from unused income reserves held by the Community Trust.

The Field, known as the Joan Adams Community Field, has been available for the general recreational benefit of the community since it was gifted in 2000 by the Late Joan Adams. Trustees are responsible for the management of this resource, and have reacted to the 2016 Community led Plan, in which sporting facilities and a social meeting place were highlighted among the requests from respondents.

Sustainability is at the heart of the Community Trusts core objectives, and to this end the building has been designed using an oak frame with untreated larch cladding and benefits from a ground source heat pump for all the space heating and hot water requirements.

Trustees very much hope that users will appreciate the warm and welcoming environment, that has been created within the building, together with the south facing terrace and field that can be used in conjunction with the building.
